Background of the Study
Youth unemployment is one of the most pressing challenges in Nigeria, particularly in Minna LGA, Niger State, where many young individuals struggle to find meaningful employment. The Nigerian Constitution encourages policies aimed at promoting economic empowerment and providing opportunities for the youth. One such avenue is through youth entrepreneurship, which allows young people to create jobs, improve their financial independence, and contribute to national development.
This study will evaluate how constitutional law supports youth entrepreneurship in Minna LGA and assess the effectiveness of various government programs that encourage entrepreneurship. By examining constitutional provisions and government actions, this research aims to identify areas of improvement in fostering youth entrepreneurship through constitutional law.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Although constitutional law provides a foundation for youth empowerment, young entrepreneurs in Minna LGA face significant challenges, such as lack of access to finance, poor infrastructure, and limited market access. This study aims to assess the impact of constitutional law on promoting youth entrepreneurship and how legal reforms can address these challenges to better support youth-led enterprises.
